[mod. f. Gr. ἄϕθον-ος plentiful + -ite.]
A steel-gray ore of sulphide of antimony and copper, with traces of zinc and silver; ‘resembling tetrahedrite, if not identical with it’ (Dana). Corruptly aftonite.
